NYCA Registration Policies

The following policies are agreed to by any student (hereafter Student) wishing to register for a course, workshop or other NYCA activity (hereafter NYCA Activity), in consideration of NYCA allowing Student to participate in NYCA Activities.

Payment

To accommodate different students' financial needs, NYCA offers two payment options:
1) Installments - Student may pay the full tuition amount (hereafter FTA) in three equal payments. The first payment is due at the time of registration, the dates of the subsequent payments will be approximately the middle of the second and forth week of the term in which the Activity takes place.
2)Upfront - by paying the FTA at the time of registration, Student receives a discount on their tuition.

By registering for an NYCA Activity, Student specifically recognizes that space in NYCA Activities is extremely limited, and that by registering, Student takes a space which cannot be given to another potential student. Therefore Student agrees that NYCA has earned the FTA at the time of registration, whether the FTA is paid in installments or upfront, subject to the below policies on Withdrawl and Refunds.

Withdrawl and Refunds

In the event that a student needs to withdraw from an NYCA Activity, the refund policies are as follows:

  • If Student withdraws up to one week prior to the first day of the term in which the Activity takes place, the FTA is refundable, minus a $25 administrative fee.
  • If Student withdraws less than one week prior to the first day of the term in which the Activity takes place, the student can choose to receive a 50% refund of the FTA, or the student may apply 75% of tuition and fees as a credit towards registration for courses in a future term.
  • If Student withdraws on or after the first day of the term in which the Activity takes place, no refund or transfer of tuition and fees are possible.
  • If Student is paying in installments, and withdraws on or after the first day of the term in which the Activity takes place, payment of the FTA is still due, and student specifically authorizes NYCA to charge Student's credit card the outstanding amount of the FTA due.

Cancellation and Postponement

NYCA reserves the right to postpone or cancel Activities. In the case of postponement or cancellation, Students receive equivalent future Activities.
